[ Fair use image via wikipedia of: "Seven defendants in the Chicago Seven conspiracy trial hold a news conference at Christ the King Church after their release from jail on Feb. 28, 1970. On this date, Feb. 18th, of 1970, the then famous trial of the "Chicago Seven" ended. Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, David Dellinger, Tom Hayden, Rennie Davis, John Froines, and Lee Weiner were all charged by the US Government with crimes related to anti-Vietnam and counterculture protests in Chicago during the 1968 Democratic National Convention. More than a year later, they were found not guilt of the charges.
I was too young, then a 2-year old awaiting my dad's return from flying scout helicopters in Vietnam, to recall what happened at the protests and the trial of the Chicago Seven that followed. So, in 2020, with the worldly experience of a 20-year Army brat, a NROTC middie who witnessed Gulf War protests in 1990 and 91 at CU-Boulder, and service as a USMC Officer for 4 years, I watched the movie on Netflix. It helped me to better understand what happened, the perspectives of both sides of this story, and some improvements we've made toward being a better society since then.

Persons in uniform should render the military salute at the first note of the anthem and retain this position until the last note. When not in uniform men should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart.
