Translated as "by the blue hills," Massachusetts comes from the native people's, the Wampanoag's, "muswachasut" word.

1) The Old State House - where the tragic Boston Massacre occurred, a sad part of the road to America's revolt against British rule
2) Minuteman National Memorial Park (Concord) - site of one of the battles that started the Revolutionary War (the Battles of Concord and Lexington)
3) The Paul Revere House - where Paul Revere began his famous "Midnight Ride" to warn colonials that "the British are coming!"
