Where is Our Flag, the U.S. Flag, lowered to half-staff today, May 21?
There are TWO (2) new half-staff orders, added this afternoon.  All Flags across Idaho are half-staff.  And, across North Carolina, all STATE Flags are half-staff.
Other Half-Staffs continue ...
... Across Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, New York, and New Jersey all Flags are half-staff ...
... In Pennsylvania, all STATE Flags are half-staff ...
... And, in Atlanta, Georgia, special locations in Massachusetts, Columbia, South Carolina, Washington, D.C. and San Diego, California all Flags are half-staff ...
All of these half-staffs honor coronavirus victims

Today's Story from Our Flag
..., like yesterday's, is an aviation pioneering moment ...

[ Charles Lindbergh in front of his 'Spirit of St. Louis' airplane before his historic flight across the Atlantic ]
Interestingly, on this date, May 21, in 1927, exactly 5 years before Amelia Earhart was the first female pilot to solo across the Atlantic Ocean, the first solo flight across the Atlantic was completed.  Who was the aviation pioneer to do what no one had done before?

Charles Lindbergh, piloting his plane called the 'Spirit of St. Louis,' flew from New York to Paris in 33 and 1/2 hours.  He fought through icy weather conditions and several hours of thick fog.  He also flew as high as 10,000 feet, above the clouds, and as low as 10 feet over the waves of the ocean.  He landed at the Paris airport around 10 in the evening and was greeted by a crowd of 150,000, who carried him around, cheering, for nearly a half-hour.

[ Below is a short video capturing his departure for his solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean ]

CLICK HERE to sign-up for National and State-targeted Half-Staff Flag Alert TEXT Notifications

This is a FREE service powered by Flag Steward's nonprofit
... America's most honorable, accurate, & complete (National, State, & Local) half-staff alert service ...
