Where is Our Flag, the U.S. Flag, lowered to half-staff today?
Across New Jersey and Nevada, all (U.S. & State) Flags are half-staff.
Atop the California State Capitol the Flags are half-staff to honor fallen officers.
And across the counties of Bucks, Pennsylvania, Licking, Ohio, Riverside, California, and Hutchinson, Texas, and in the City of Santa Rosa, California, all Flags are half-staff to honor fallen local patriots

[ Trench warfare headlined the World War I war strategy. But, this horrific war also introduced the world to airplane, tank, battleship, and machine gun fighting = public domain images ]
On April 6, 1917, the U.S. Congress voted to declare war on Germany. A few days earlier, President Woodrow Wilson had recommended we enter World War I - the war that was suppose to "end all wars." For 3 years, America sat out and watched Germany savagely hurt and take away the freedoms of millions of citizens in Europe.
It was time, as President Wilson had stated, to ...
"...fight for the things which we have always carried nearest our hearts,—for democracy, for the right of those to have a voice in their own governments, for the rights and liberties of small nations, [and to] bring peace and safety to all nations and make the world itself at last free."
