Half-Staff Alerts & Honorees for March 4
All Flags across TENNESSEE (TN: Mar. 4 - 6): Tennessee's Governor ordered all Flags at state facilities, to half-staff, from sunrise on Wed., Mar. 4 to sunset on Fri., Mar. 6, in memory of the victims of the March 3 tornado outbreak in Putnam, Wilson, Davidson, and Benton counties. All Flags across Wayne County, NORTH CAROLINA (NC: Mar. 3 - TBD): Wayne County officials, assumedly with authority and approval of the NC Governor, ordered all Flags at facilities across Wayne County to half-staff, on Tue., Mar. 3, until the date of his interment (TBD), to honor Wayne County Commissioner John M. Bell, who has served in that position for District 3 since 2000. GO HERE to see the Flag tribute info.
All Flags atop Wilton Manors City Hall, FLORIDA (FL: Feb. 26 - Mar. 6): City officials, assumedly with authority and approval of the FL Governor, ordered all Flags atop Wilton Manors City Hall and across the city to half-staff until TBD, the date of his interment, to honor the life of Mayor Justin Flippen, who died unexpectedly of a brain aneurysm at age 41. All Flags atop St. Louis City Hall, MISSOURI (MO: Feb. 25 - Mar. 9): St. Louis' Mayor, assumedly with authority and approval of the MO Governor, ordered all Flags atop St. Louis City Hall to half-staff until Mon., Mar. 9, the date of his interment, to honor the life of Samuel Moore, the 4th Ward Alderman (City Council member).
