Today's Moment to Remember
Fellow Flag Stewards:
Until at least the middle of March, I will be focusing my efforts on redesigning and improving Flag Steward's Pre-Pledge Tribute to better serve student-citizens, particularly 5th-8th graders. During this time, I will continue to publish America's most Honorable, Accurate, and Complete Half-Staff alerts. But, there is no daily historical review today nor will there be in the coming weeks.

PS - I'm a one-man nonprofit show whose passion and purpose for Flag Steward has always been to build more informed, inspired, patriotic student-citizens, so I hope you understand this re-prioritization plan ;)

Half-Staff Alerts & Honorees for March 3
All Flags across ALABAMA (AL: on Mar. 3): Alabama's Governor ordered all Flags at state facilities, to half-staff, from sunrise until sunset, on Tue., Mar. 3, a "Day of Remembrance," in honor of the victims of last year's, March 3, 2019, horrific tornado that tore through Lee County.

All Flags atop Wilton Manors City Hall, FLORIDA (FL: Feb. 26 - Mar. 6): City officials, assumedly with authority and approval of the FL Governor, ordered all Flags atop Wilton Manors City Hall and across the city to half-staff until TBD, the date of his interment, to honor the life of Mayor Justin Flippen, who died unexpectedly of a brain aneurysm at age 41. All Flags atop St. Louis City Hall, MISSOURI (MO: Feb. 25 - Mar. 9): St. Louis' Mayor, assumedly with authority and approval of the MO Governor, ordered all Flags atop St. Louis City Hall to half-staff until Mon., Mar. 9, the date of his interment, to honor the life of Samuel Moore, the 4th Ward Alderman (City Council member). There will not be any Pre-Pledge Tributes until mid-March, at the earliest. We are re-working the tributes to improve the student experience.
