... Moment to Remember
During this week in history, on October 11th, in 1884, Anna Eleanor Roosevelt was born in New York City. She served as First Lady to our 32nd U.S. President, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. As First Lady, she was the first to give her own White House news conference and travelled on her own to hear the concerns of citizens around the world - earning her the title of "First Lady of the World." After her service as First Lady, she continued to serve America and the world as the U.S. delegate to the United Nations - where she was instrumental in creating the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
