Today's Flag Status
[Note: During our #Pullups4FallenOfficers to #HonorPOMD / #HonorPoliceOfficerMemorialDay awareness campaign, we may have many "Flag Status Only" days of content. We will bring back our other engaging daily features (Fallen Patriot alerts - military, police, and fire tributes,Historical Moment to Remember, Slices of Americana, and other "Reminders from Our Flag") after May 15th (Peace Officers Memorial Day) or after we get more staff / volunteer help.]
Our Flag flies at full staff across the USA, except in Connecticut.

The Executive Order from Connecticut's Governor reads:
In Connecticut, U.S. and state flags have been lowered to half-staff in honor of Connecticut State Police Trooper First Class Kevin M. Miller, who was killed Thursday afternoon in a motor vehicle accident while on duty. Trooper First Class Miller served with the Connecticut State Police for 19 years and was assigned to Troop C in Tolland. Flags will remain at half-staff until sunset on Friday, April 6th.
