#FlagStewardChallenge - the #VWVDTribute / #VietnamWarVeteransDayTribute
to honor, thank, and finally "Welcome Home" our 2.7M Vietnam War Veterans
[Note: 'National Vietnam War Veterans Day' was enacted by the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017 and will occur every March 29th]

My dad was fortunate to get a 'Welcome Home' party back in Boston after his Nam (1-year) tour ended in July of 1970. Back then, most 'thank you' and 'welcome home' celebrations for Vietnam Vets were self-administered like the one pictured on the left - military buds celebrating their survival with a last meal in Nam before returning to the USA and being met with many upset and disrespectful citizens.
Make a #VWVDTribute / #VietnamWarVeteransDayTribute
to honor, thank, and "Welcome Home" our 2.7M Vietnam War Veterans
(approximately 500 of whom are dying each day*)
*Department of Veterans Affairs estimate
It's a simple 3-step process:
1) Make a "Welcome Home" sign (with or without a picture)
[Note 1: CLICK HERE to access some "Welcome Home" sign templates to edit and print]
[Note 2: If you DO NOT KNOW any Vietnam War Veterans, then go to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial 'Wall of Faces' webpage and select a fallen Vietnam Vet to honor. We recommend you search by your city name and see if any Vets from your town died in Vietnam.]
2a) Snap a picture of you holding your "Welcome Home" sign
OR
2b) Film a short video of you exclaiming your "Welcome Home" message while holding a sign
3) Post your pic and/or video to social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are preferred) and challenge your friends to do the #VWVDTribute, a #FlagStewardChallenge powered by FlagSteward.org
Examples:
(forthcoming) -Pic with sign / -Video / -Wall of Faces
This is our first of many planned #FlagStewardChallenge social media events.
