OTD, November 13, in 1956, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the District Court ruling on Montgomery bus segregation, which stated:
"the enforced segregation of black and white passengers
on motor buses operating in the City of Montgomery
violates the Constitution and laws of the United States."
The segregation violated the 14th Amendment - which provided equal protection to all people
