Raymond Schlamp, who was killed near Dornot, France during World War II. Pfc. Schlamp, of Dubuque, was 28-years-old when his unit came under heavy German fire. Pfc. Raymond U. Schlamp served in General George Patton’s Third Army from November of 1941. He and others were killed while crossing the Moselle River near the Horseshoe Woods.
