Yesterday, the third Saturday in May, was Armed Forces Day.
But, since, it fell upon National Peace Officers Memorial Day, May 15th, this year, so we decided to focus on that day.
So, today, we're giving a belated nod to Armed Forces Day - a day, first celebrated in 1950, to honor the bringing together of all 5 U.S. military branches (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard) under the U.S. Department of Defense.
