Today's #NeverForgottenFriday Commemoration
Thankfully, there were no military members killed in Global War on Terror (GWOT) combat zones last week.
... But, back on the homefront ...

Sadly, ... there were 5 first responders who died in the line of duty in the last week. The 4 fallen police officers were Officer Alan McCollum of the Corpus Christi Police Department in Texas (struck & killed by a vehicle), Deputy Richard Whitten of Liberty County Sheriff's Office in Texas (died of complications from gunshot wound from last year), Officer Nick O'Rear of the Kimberly Police Department in Alabama (shot & killed), and Florida State Trooper Joseph Bullock of the Florida Highway Patrol (shot & killed).
And, one fallen firefighter Corbin Rogers of Spring Lake Fire Department in North Carolina (car accident).
We honor and thank these patriots for serving and protecting their communities.

Half-Staff Alerts & Honorees for February 7
All Flags at Florida State Highway Patrol buildings, FLORIDA (FL: until TBD): Florida State Highway Patrol HQ leaders', assumedly with approval from and authority of the FL Governor, ordered all Flags at FL State Highway Patrol facilities, to half-staff until sunset on the date of his interment (TBD), in honor of Florida State Highway Patrol Trooper Joseph Bullock, who was shot and killed in the line of duty on Wed., Feb. 5. All Flags across City of Kimberly, ALABAMA (AL: until TBD): Kimberly's Mayor, with approval from and authority of the AL Governor, ordered all Flags at city facilities, to half-staff until sunset on the date of his interment (TBD), in honor of Kimberly Police Department Officer Nick O'Rear, who was shot and killed in the line of duty on Wed., Feb. 5. All Flags across Liberty County, TEXAS (TX: until TBD): TX Governor approved Liberty County's order for all Flags across Liberty County, and authorized other Texas counties and cities to join the tribute by lowering their Flags, to half-staff until sunset on the date of his interment (TBD), in honor of the life and public service of Liberty County Deputy Richard Whitten, who died from complications of a gunshot wound sustained in the line of duty last year. All Flags in the Woodbridge Township, NEW JERSEY (NJ: on Feb. 7): Woodbridge Township Mayor, assumedly with authority and approval of the NJ Governor, ordered all Flags at township buildings to half-staff, from sunrise to sunset, on Fri., Feb. 7, the date of his interment, in honor of former Mayor Philip Cerria, who died recently. All Flags across Harford County, MARYLAND (MD: Feb. 7-10): Harford County officials, assumedly with authority and approval of the MD Governor, ordered all Flags at county buildings to half-staff, from sunrise on Fri., Feb. 7, to sunset on Mon., Feb. 10, in honor of two deputies, Senior Deputy Dailey and Deputy Logsdon, killed in line of duty on Feb. 10, 2016. All Flags in the City of Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA (CA: until TBD): City of Los Angeles' Mayor, assumedly with authority and approval of the CA Governor, ordered all Flags at city buildings to half-staff until the date of his interment (TBD), in honor of Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, and all of the victims in Sunday's (Jan. 26) tragic helicopter crash.
