All Flags at the Capitol Complex and in Raleigh County, WEST VIRGINIA (WV: on 12/27): Governor ordered all Flags at the Capitol Complex and at state facilities in Raleigh County to half-staff, from sunrise to sunset on Fri., Dec. 27, in commemoration of the distinguished life and service of former West Virginia Delegate Sally Matz Susman. All Flags across GEORGIA (GA: on Dec. 27): Governor ordered Flags at all state facilities to half-staff, from sunrise to sunset on Fri., Dec. 27, in honor of, the honorable, Georgia State Senator (District 13) Greg Kirk. CLICK HERE to see the Flag order.

All Flags in Westwood and Washington Townships, NEW JERSEY (NJ: until TBD): Flags across Westwood and Washington Townships in New Jersey, assumedly with approval and authority of the Governor, are at half-staff, immediately on Tue., Dec. 24, until sunset on the date of his interment (TBD), in honor of US Army Sergeant First Class (Green Beret) Michael Goble, who was killed in action (KIA) on Monday, Dec. 23, by a roadside bomb while on combat patrol. All Flags in Swoyersville Borough, PENNSYLVANIA (PA: until Dec. 28): Flags across Swoyersville Borough, assumedly with approval and authority of the Governor, are at half-staff, immediately on Sun., Dec. 22, until sunset on Sat., Dec. 28, the date of his interment, in honor of Swoyersville Borough Police Officer Andrew Jones. All Flags in Pierce County, WASHINGTON (WA: until Dec. 30): Flags across Pierce County, assumedly with approval and authority of the Governor, are at half-staff, on Sat., Dec. 21, until sunset on Mon., Dec. 30, the date of his interment, in honor of Pierce County Sheriff's Office Deputy Cooper Dyson.

All City Flags across Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA (CA: Dec. 18 - Jan. 7): Los Angeles Mayor ordered all City Flags across Los Angeles to half-staff, immediately on Wed., Dec. 18 to sunset on Tue., Jan. 7, in honor of Former First Assistant Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department, Earl Paysinger. Today's #NeverForgottenFriday Commemoration
Sadly, there was one U.S. military soldier, Sergeant First Class Michael Goble, a 33-year old Green Beret from Westwood, New Jersey, who was killed in a Global War on Terror (GWOT) combat zone, Afghanistan, this past week. SFC (Sergeant First Class) Goble, a Special Forces operator assigned to 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group, which is based out of Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. This was his third deployment to Afghanistan. He died on Monday, December 23, from roadside bomb injuries sustained while on patrol in the Kunduz province of Afghanistan on Sunday.

Unfortunately, ... there were 7 first responder honorees who died recently. The 6 fallen police officers were Sergeant Johnston of NYPD (New York Police Department) in New York - died of 9/11 related illnesss, Sergeant Montijo of Chattanooga Police Department in Tennessee - died from unhealthy heart condition, Deputy Dyson of Pierce County Sheriff's Office in Washington - died in car crash, Detective Martinez of the San Antonio Police Department in Texas - died from intentional car strike, Officer Meza of the Burnet Police Department in Texas - died from heart attack, and Deputy Pfluger of the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office in Texas - died in car crash.
And, the fallen firefighter was East Farmingdale firefighter Michael Cardinale Sr. in New York (died of medical emergency, heart condition, after fire response).
We honor and thank these patriots for serving and protecting their communities.
