Thankfully, again, there were no soldiers killed while serving in a Global War on Terror (GWOT) combat zone last week.  But, sadly, there were 3 military service members killed in the line of duty recently.  The unidentified pilot killed in the helicopter crash during last week's #NeverForgottenFriday tribute was Major Trevor Joseph of Colliersville, Tennessee.  He was commander of the medical evacuation aviation unit called "Cajun Dustoff."  While in S. Korea participating in an Army Medic competition, US Army Staff Sergeant Kelly Richards died.  And, Navy Seaman Juan Garcia-Herrera died during an accident aboard an aircraft carrier in San Diego.  We honor and thank these service members for defending our freedoms.

Unfortunately, there were 6 first responders who died in the line of duty recently.  The 4 fallen peace officers were NYPD Officer Derrick Bishop, who died of a 9/11 related cancer, Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Tracy Vickers, who died in a car crash, Harris County (Houston area) Sheriff's Deputy Sandeep Singh Dahliwal, who was shot and killed during a traffic stop, and NYPD Officer Brian Mulkeen, who was also shot and killed while making an arrest.
The 2 Fallen Firefighters were Martin County hazmat firefighter/paramedic Scott Neumann of Florida and CAL FIRE Captain Paul Rotondaro of Merced County, California, who died in a car crash.

Please, pray for all of these fallen patriots and their family and friends in mourning.
