Today's #NeverForgottenFriday Commemoration
Since we've postponed our weekly Pre-Pledge Tributes during schools' summer break; and subsequently the 'Fallen Patriots to Honor' section of those tributes ... We plan to commemorate them on Fridays this summer.
Unfortunately, there were 2 non-combat deaths in Global War on Terror combat zones this week. U.S. Navy Aviation Electronics Technician 2nd Class Slayton Saldana, of Manassas, Virginia fell overboard, on July 17, while deployed on the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea. GO HERE to learn more about this incident. And, West Virginia National Guard Army Sergeant William Friese, 30, of Rockport, WV, died in a non-combat incident on July 18 at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. And, back on the homefront ...
