Today's #NeverForgottenFriday Commemoration
Since we've postponed our weekly Pre-Pledge Tributes during schools' summer break; and subsequently the 'Fallen Patriots to Honor' section of those tributes ... We plan to commemorate them on Fridays this summer.
Unfortunately, there were 2 military casualties in our Global War on Terror combat zones this week. US Army Master Sergeant (Green Beret) Michael Riley and Sergeant James Johnston were both killed by small arms fire on Wednesday, June 26, during combat operations in Afghanistan's Uruzgan Province. MSGT Riley, from Heilbronn, Germany, was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group at Fort Carson, Colorado. Johnston, from Trumansburg, New York, was assigned to the 79th Ordnance Battalion, 71st Ordnance Group at Fort Hood, Texas. CLICK HERE to learn more about these soldiers from Military Times.

... unfortunately, two peace officers and two firefighters died in the line of duty - Police Officer Michael Langsdorf of North County, Missouri, and Deputy Troy Chisum of Fulton County, Illinois and Firefighters Coleman Loadholdt Jr. of Jasper County, South Carolina, and Michael Powers of Libertytown, Maryland.
Please, pray for all of these fallen patriots and their family and friends in mourning.
