President Abraham Lincoln said this about the sacrifices made by our military service members - particularly those killed in action,
"Any nation that does not honor its heroes will not long endure."

It's the morning of Memorial Day 2018 and I just witnessed a couple stories on USAA's Memorial Day website, that I am moved and compelled to share.
Both stories live up to Lincoln's quote: 1) is about Alicia Dietz and the hallowed Battlefield Cross she carved to memorialize the fallen military service members of the Global War on Terrorism, and 2) is about Josh Kisner and his youth camp that strengthens the kids who lost a family member in combat. Thanks to USAA for sharing these moving tributes.
