If you haven't reviewed this week's Pre-Pledge Tribute about Paul Revere's Ride, take a moment now to GO HERE.
And, if you're a teacher / parent, spend a few extra minutes today or tomorrow reading or listening to the poem, Paul Revere's Ride. It's one of the best Pre-Pledge Tributes - having kids use their imagination to picture themselves back in 1775 riding alongside Paul Revere.

Today's Star-Spangled, Inspirational Veterans
I'm ashamed to have missed this commemorative event here in Colorado ...
95-year old Clarence Smoyer, a WWII T26 / Pershing Tank gunner at the tip of the 'Spearhead' into Germany, paid tribute to his 3rd Armor Division leader - Major General Maurice Rose, "the most decorated Battletank Commander in U.S. Military History." Smoyer (pictured on left) wanted to highlight his experiences and respect for General Rose (pictured right). So, he rode in a WWII era tank through the streets of Denver to recognize one of this region's most famous, but really under-recognized, war heroes. GO HERE to read their riveting, inspirational story.
