Today's #NeverForgottenFriday Commemoration
Although, there we no casualties in Global War on Terror combat zones last week, sadly, there was one soldier killed in the line of duty. Last Friday, March 15th, US Army Sergeant First Class Ethan Carpenter, a highly decorated, combat veteran Ranger, died of injuries from a free-fall parachute accident. Carpenter, who deployed to combat zones 8 times, was a soldier in the 75th Ranger Regiment at Ft. Bragg, NC. His Battalion Commander stated this about SFC Carpenter, "He did the toughest jobs well and was the consummate team member when it counted the most, both in garrison training and in deployed combat. He represented our nation’s best, and we’ll miss him dearly.”
