To better serve our fellow Flag Stewards, notably our Flag Steward app users, beginning tonight, we will send our daily push notification with half-staff alerts, around 10pm EST / 7pm PST the night before, to end the potentially annoying early morning (6am EST / 3am PST) mobile app notifications. We hope you find this to be a better solution and helpful to plan ahead if your state has its US or State and/or both Flags at half-staff the next morning. ;)
Unfortunately, I've been unable to create app notifications to go out at sunrise for users in each time zone. So, this night-before notification is the best solution I can come up with right now. Thanks for your support and understanding.

On March 22, 1972, the Equal Rights Amendment that was re-submitted by US House of Representatives member, Martha Griffiths (shown above), was approved by the US Senate and thus forwarded to the States for approval. For ratification, two-thirds of the US State legislatures had to approve the Equal Right Amendment. Unfortunately, upon the ratification deadline of March 22, 1977, I only had 35 of the required 38 State approvals. I was given an extension until 1982, but still did not receive the required ratifications. The Equal Right Amendment, intended to guarantee equal legal rights for all American citizens regardless of sex - ending legal differences divorce, property, employment, and other matters for women and men, is still on the US Congress and States' radar.
