Flag-raising at sunrise = hoist the Flags to full staff, then lower slowly, respectfully to half-staff
Flag-lowering at sunset = hoist Flags up from half-staff back to full-staff, then lower slowly, respectfully all the way down for removal
Official U.S. Flag Half-Staffs Today (Jan. 25th):
In FLORIDA, Governor DeSantis ordered the US and State Flags to half-staff until Feb 1 to honor the 5 victims of yesterday's shooting at Sun Trust Bank in Sebring, FL.
In NEW YORK, the Governor ordered the US and State Flags on State buildings at half-staff until the day of interment (TBD) for Navy Chief Petty Officer / Cryptologic Technician Shannon M. Kent, who was killed in the Syria suicide bombing on Jan. 16.
In ALABAMA, Governor Ivey ordered the US and State Flags to half-staff to honor Mobile PD Officer, Sean Tuder, who was shot and killed in the line of duty this weekend. The half-staff will remain until sunset, Sun, Jan. 27th. GO HERE to see Governor Ivey's half-staff proclamation

In PENNSYLVANIA, the PA State Flag was ordered to half-staff until (TBD) to honor the life of former Senator Harris Wofford, a WWII Veteran and Civic Rights Influencer, who passed away on Jan. 21st.
Additionally, in NEW YORK, Monroe County is flying its flags (US and State Flags) at half-staff to honor a county worker, Jeffrey Farrell, who was killed on the job when a car struck him on Friday.
