"It was great to be the rock comic, the shock comic. But after you've played Giants Stadium with Bon Jovi in front of 82,000 people, after you've done the 'Wild Thing' video with Jessica Hahn and every rock band from hell, you're not gonna top that.

... a sad, unjust act in American history ...
On this date, November 29, 1864, the Sand Creek Massacre occurred in the southeastern part of the Colorado territory. A group of 600+ volunteer troops led by U.S. Army Cavalry Colonel John Chivington attacked and killed at least 140 Cheyenne and Arapahoe Indians at Sand Creek, Colorado. Disgustingly, more than half of those killed were unarmed women and children. Thankfully, some men of integrity, like Major Wynkoop, Lieutenant Cannon, and Captain Soule, reported the massacre to officials so that justice could be enforced.
