Born on this date, November 27th of 1940, in San Francisco's Chinatown, was a man who went on to be a cinema martial arts hero-of-sorts, Bruce Lee. While attending the University of Washington in Seattle he began to teach martial arts and honed his skills to create a new genre of American martial arts films. He filmed five full length movies before dying unexpectedly at the age of 32.
