This Week's #NeverForgottenFriday Honoree
Thankfully, there were no military service members killed in the line of duty in the Global War on Terror (GWOT) this past week.
So, we take time to honor a special Korean War MIA, Army Master Sergeant Charles McDaniel, finally being buried back in his home state of Indiana tomorrow. You may recall, amongst the 55 US military service member remains returned by North Korea in July, there was one dog-tag. That dog-tag belonged to McDaniel - who was killed during the Battle of Chosin Reservoir (Nov-Dec 1950) along with 5,000+ other US soldiers (most of whom are still MIA). His remains were confirmed by DPAA (Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency) and returned to his family for burial.

Today's Historical Reminder
... Fighting for the US Constitution ...
On October 27, 1787, the first of 85 Federalist Papers was published in a New York City newspaper. The essays, by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and John Jay, were written to inform the states why they should ratify the U.S. Constitution. Their work paid off as the U.S. Constitution was ratified by enough states (11 of the 13) on June 21, 1788 and became the supreme law of our country on March 4, 1789.
