[ GO HERE to perform this week's Pre-Pledge Tribute at any time you like. But, ... we recommend you designate each Friday as #FlagDayFriday

In Connecticut: The US and State Flags are at half-staff in honor of Connecticut State Police Trooper First Class Walter Greene, who passed away in the line of duty following a courageous battle with cancer as the result of his response and service in support of New York City in the aftermath of the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. Flag Steward - Honors and Awakens Our Flag to Inform and Inspire Patriotic Citizens
On Tuesdays, we try for a 2-fer that makes you Think & Laugh.
So now, THINK ...
So now, THINK ...
-I was America's first ambassador to France and spent nearly the entire Revolutionary War in France getting firepower and financial aid for the Continental Army
-I became wealthy by writing and selling "Poor Richard's Almanack" from 1732 to 1758
-I was America's first Postmaster General
Do you know who I am yet?
Here's one last hint:
-During this week in history, on June 10 of 1752 to be exact, I intentionally went out into a thunderstorm to prove my scientific theory about electricity; thereby inventing the "lightning rod"
Yes, I'm Ben Franklin - one of America's most beloved Founding Fathers
We made you think, so now you get to
Laugh:
So, here's a one-liner from Ben Franklin - who was known to be quite a funny prankster... having written a "scientific" book called Fart Proudly
'Keep your eyes wide open before marriage, and half-open afterwards.'
- sage advice? from Ben Franklin
