We start this #FlagDayFriday by announcing that ..
Across the USA, Our Flag flies at full staff -except in Georgia and Alaska. In GA, the half-staff flies today and on Saturday in commemoration of the Honorable John Yates, former District 73 Representative in the Georgia House of Representatives.
And, in AK, the half-staff honors U.S. Army Staff Sergeant David Brabander, who died on December 11 while deployed in Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan.

On this 'Flag Day Friday' we celebrate the ratification (approval) of the first 10 amendments (changes) to the U.S. Constitution - known as the 'Bill of Rights' which occurred OTD in 1791. Review this week's pre-Pledge or pre-Anthem Ceremony, by CLICKING HERE, to learn more about this event.
