TODAY'S FLAG STATUS:
Picture
Across the USA, Our Flag flies at full staff - except in Massachusetts.
Our Flag at half-staff in MA,
in honor of Second Lieutenant Richard M. Horwitz, U.S. Army/Airforce 716th Bomber Squadron, 449th Bombardment Group. Lieutenant Horwitz, a native of Canton, Massachusetts, went missing on 28 February 1945 in the Gulf of Trieste, Gorizia Province, Friuli-Venezia Region, Italy. His remains have been identified and now he's finally returning home to be laid to rest on Sunday.
Also, in NC just the State Flag is at half-staff to commemorate, from Friday to Monday, two Department of Public Safety employees who died in the line of duty Thursday afternoon at Pasquotank Correctional Institution - Correctional Officer Justin Smith and Correction Enterprises Manager Veronica Darden.

Spend time today thanking and praising all the good things God, your family, and your country (the good ole USA) provide to you.
Remember and reflect upon your relatives and friends who have served and protected our country and communities - giving us an opportunity to live up to our forefathers belief in 'Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness'.
