Tonight we are a country awakened to danger and called to defend freedom. Our grief has turned to anger, and anger to resolution. Whether we bring our enemies to justice, or bring justice to our enemies, justice will be done."

Died September 20, 2003 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
Staff Sergeant Frederick Miller Jr., 27, of Hagerstown, Ind.; assigned to Troop K, 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colo.;
killed while on security patrol Sept. 20 in Ramadi, Iraq. His vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device.
