U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Justin Lee Vasquez
Killed in Action (KIA) on June 5, 2005 while serving as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom
Staff Sergeant Vasquez, age 26, of Manzanola, CO; was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Carson, CO.
He was killed when improvised explosive device detonated near his military vehicle in Baghdad, Iraq.
We honor and thank U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Vasquez for defending our freedoms and fighting to liberate the lives of others.

Justin's father relayed that, “Several of his Army friends have called me saying that he was a good leader — he took pride in being in the Army. He demanded perfection and he had everything just right,”
