Killed in Action (KIA) on March 30, 2008 while serving as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom
Sergeant Gilmore, age 38, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; was assigned to the 769th Engineer Battalion of the Louisiana Army National Guard, Baton Rouge, LA.
He was killed when improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near his military vehicle in Baghdad, Iraq.
We honor and thank U.S. Army Sergeant Gilmore for defending our freedoms and fighting to liberate the lives of others.
