Where is Our Flag, the U.S. Flag, lowered to half-staff today, September 17?
There are TWO new Half-Staff orders for: 1) All STATE Flags in parts of Wyoming, and 2) All Flags in City of Conroe, Texas

Today's Story from Our Flag

On this date, September 17, in 1787, 39 of the 55 delegates attending the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia signed the U.S. Constitution in to law. It is the Supreme law of the land - outlining our form of government, balance of power, and individual rights. It has been amended (changed) 27 times since it was created - including the first 10 amendments known as the Bill of Rights.
The Preamble (opening statement) of the U.S. Constitution is the most well known and quoted part of the document
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
