40 years ago this month, Ms. Tabb tasked her 7th Grade at Resurrection School in Montgomery, Alabama with memorizing and reciting the Gettysburg Address.  I, Sean Sweeney, Founder of Flag Steward, was one of those students.  The preparation and performance of Lincoln's famous speech in front of my all-black ( except me ;) classmates became a moment that changed my understanding and outlook on equality and respect forever.
