Today's Historical Moment from Our Flag
... is about the "Macintosh"
And, no, we're not referring to the tasty "Macintosh" apple found at your local grocer ;) ...

[ Apple Macintosh Plus at Sweden design museum = public domain ]
The Apple "Macintosh" was a ground-breaking computer from Apple Inc.  This invention, from Steve Jobs and company, empowered regular people (not tech geeks;) to do things on a computer without having to type-in a programming language.  The Macintosh had a graphically interactive interface (screen) that was navigated (moved around on) using a device called a "mouse."
To go with this computer pioneering moment, on January 22nd of 1984, Apple jump-started Macintosh sales, and its company's credibility, by showcasing the "Mac" worldwide during a Super Bowl XVIII television commercial (see below).
Today's Insightful Quote from Our Flag

“Great things in business are never done by one person.
They're done by a team of people.”

- Steve Job (Co-Founder of Apple)
Today's Fun from Our Flag
... a couple of puns about Apple's Macintosh (better known now as a "Mac")

What happens when you spill coffee on a Mac?

It won't be able to go to sleep.

Why did the Mac overheat?

Because it doesn't have any windows ;)
And, now it's time to ...
Recite the Pledge of Allegiance
Students across America, at school or at home, inspired by technology pioneers, like Steve Jobs and Apple, please unite and recite the Pledge.
