All Flags atop State Capitol building in Sacramento, CALIFORNIA (CA: Mar. 13-15): CA Governor ordered all Flags atop the State Capitol to half-staff on Fri., Mar. 13 until sunset on Sun., Mar. 15, to honor US Army Specialist (SPC) Juan Miguel Mendez Covarrubias, 27, of Hanford, California, who was killed in action by indirect enemy fire in Iraq on Wed., Mar. 11..  CLICK HERE to see the Flag order.  GO HERE to read about the attack that killed SPC Mendez.

All City Flags in Philadephia (PA: on Mar. 13 and TBD):  Philadelphia's Mayor ordered "all city flags" (which does not include the US or State Flag) to half-staff for 30 days, starting immediately on Fri., Mar. 13 until sunset on Apr. 11, to honor Philadelphia SWAT Corporal James O’Connor, who was killed in a shooting Friday, March 13, 2020.  CLICK HERE to read the Flag order.  [NOTE: Due to the simultaneous statewide half-staff of all State Flags on Sat., Mar. 14 to honor the burial of former state Audior General Don Bailey, the Philly City Flags won't be half-staff alone honor Officer O'Connor until Sunday]

All Flags in City of Escondido, CALIFORNIA (CA: Mar. 12 until TBD): City of Escondido officials, assumedly with authority and approval of CA's Governor, ordered all Flags at city facilities to half-staff until the date of his interment (TBD), to honor city councilmember John Masson, who died on Tue., Mar. 10.  CLICK HERE to see the Flag order info.

All Flags across ARKANSAS (AR: on Mar. 11 - 16): Arkansas' Governor ordered all Flags at state facilities, to half-staff immediately on Wed., Mar. 11 until Mon., Mar. 16, the date of his interment, in tribute to the memory of Hot Springs Police Officer Brent William Scrimshire, who was shot and killed in the line of duty on Tue., Mar. 10.  GO HERE to see the Arkansas Governor's Flag order.
