On this date, August 27, in 1908, Lyndon Johnson was born in Texas.  Johnson became the President upon the assassination of John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963 and went on to serve another term as President until January 20, 1969. 
Did you know?  Johnson is 1 of only 4 Presidents that have ever been elected to all 4 national election positions - as a U.S; Representative, U.S. Senator, Vice President, and President.
