Today's #NeverForgottenFriday Commemoration
Since we've postponed our weekly Pre-Pledge Tributes during schools' summer break; and subsequently the 'Fallen Patriots to Honor' section of those tributes ... We plan to commemorate them on Fridays this summer.
Thankfully, there were no military casualties in any Global War on Terror combat zones recently.
But, back on the homefront ...
But, back on the homefront ...
... sadly, three peace officers and three emergency response personnel died in the line of duty recently. Deputy Omar Diaz of Texas, Deputy Nicholas Dixon of Georgia, and Conservation Officer of Red Lake Nation in Minnesota died while serving and protecting their communities. And, Helicopter Ambulance Nurse Debra Schoot and Pilot Tim McDonald of Minnesota, along with Sun Country Fire Chief William White of New Mexico died while taking care of others.
Please, pray for all of these fallen patriots and their family and friends in mourning.

OTD, July 12th, in 1862, President Abe Lincoln signed a law authorizing the Medal of Honor as the military's highest decoration for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty. Since its birth, nearly 3,400 men and 1 woman have received the Medal of Honor for their heroic actions.
