On Tuesdays, we try for a 2-fer that makes you Think & Laugh.
So now, think...
... Who Am I?
So now, think...
... Who Am I?
-I was written by Ben Franklin and John Dickinson and presented to the Second Continental Congress in 1777.
-I was approved, as America's first government roadmap, and sent to the states for ratification on November 15, 1777
-I was written by the Second Continental Congress to establish how our state and federal (United States) governments would work together to manage big issues
-After nearly 3 years of review by the states, I was finally ratified on March 1st, 1781 when Maryland approved me.
-Over the next 10 years, many problems, due to not having a strong federal government, came up. So, in 1787 the full U.S. Constitution was created to fix my shortcomings and established a strong, balanced set of national and state governing powers.
