On October 6, 1949, "Tokyo Rose" (Iva Toguri d'Aquino), a Japanese-American born in Los Angeles, was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for treason (being a traitor against the U.S.).  During World War II, she broadcast music and Japanese propaganda to American troops in the Pacific.

On this #NeverForgottenFriday, we remember and honor 2 service members who died this week:
(pictured left to right)

U.S. Army Specialist Alexander Missildine was KIA in Iraq by an IED (Improvised Explosive Device)
and
Sgt. 1st Class Charleston "Gentle Giant" Hartfield with the Nevada Army National Guard and active, off-duty Las Vegas Metro Policeman, was killed in the Vegas mass shooting

Additionally, there are 3 Green Berets who were killed this week in Niger.  They have not been identified, so we'll honor them next Friday.
