TODAY'S REMINDER FROM OUR FLAG:
... the land of the free because of the brave ...
Today is a R.E.D. (Remember Everyone Deployed) Friday. R.E.D. Fridays are a good way to pay tribute to our military personnel on deployments around the globe. The best, most recent, estimate I could find from the DoD (Department of Defense) is that are more than 200,000 troops deployed overseas. [For you kids, 200,000 people would fill the Patriots' Gillette Stadium 3 times]
So, wear RED on Friday and take a moment to reflect upon our deployed troops keeping harm away from our homeland.

TODAY'S FALLEN SERVICE MEMBER COMMEMORATION:
Today, we individually remember and honor, the 15th of 16 service members killed in the KC-130 crash on July 10th, U.S. Marine Corporal Collin Schaaff of Pierce, Washington. He was designated as an Aircraft Ordnance Technician for the crew of the KC-130 during his 4-year career.
His mother, Angel Schmitt, said her son had dreamed of a career in the Marines since he was 10 years old. She also said her son was outgoing and generous. Schaaff leaves behind his wife, Sarah Beth, 1-year-old daughter, and another daughter to be born in November.
We thank and honor Corporal Collin Schaaff for defending our freedoms at home and abroad.
